ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has issued fresh customs values for imported raisins, or dry grapes, for the determination of duties and taxes at the import stage. The FBR issued Valuation Ruling No. 2109/2026 on September 29, 2026, superseding Valuation Ruling No. 02/2022 dated October 11, 2022, issued by the Directorate of Customs Valuation, Quetta. The Directorate General of Customs Valuation, Karachi, initiated proceedings after observing that the subject goods were being assessed at comparatively lower values. The proceedings were launched under Section 25A of the Customs Act, 1969, with the objective of ensuring uniform valuation and safeguarding government revenue.
