ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has extended the deadline for filing sales tax and Federal Excise Duty (FED) returns for August 2026 until October 2, 2026, for power distribution companies and specified taxpayers. In a directive issued on Wednesday, the FBR said the extension applies to distribution companies (DISCOs), K-Electric and taxpayers covered by Sales Tax General Order (STGO) No. 10 of 2026, dated July 14, 2026. The directive was issued to Chief Commissioners Inland Revenue of Large Taxpayers Offices (LTOs), Corporate Tax Offices (CTOs) and Regional Tax Offices (RTOs).
