Application of Act to companies governed by special enactments- (1) The provisions of this Act shall apply- (a) to insurance companies, except in so far as the said provisions are inconsistent with the provisions of the Insurance Ordinance, 2000 (XXXIX of 2000); (b) to banking companies, except in so far as the said provisions are inconsistent with the provisions of the Banking Companies Ordinance, 1962 (LVII of 1962); (c) to modaraba companies and modarabas, except in so far as the said provisions are inconsistent with the provisions of the Modaraba Companies and Modaraba (Floatation and Control) Ordinance, 1980 (XXXI of 1980); (d) to any other company governed by any special enactment for the time being in force, except in so far as the said…
