S.R.O. 128(I)/83, dated 12th February, 1983:- In exercise of the powers conferred by section 219 of the Customs Act, 1969(IV of 1969), read with item 19 of the said Act, and in super-session of its Notification No. S.R.O. 153(I)/73, dated the 1st February, 1973, the Central Board of Revenue, with the prior approval of Federal Government, is pleased to make the following rules prescribing the conditions on which the goods may be carried in a coasting vessel, whether shipped at a foreign port or at a customs port or at a place declared under clause(d) of section 9, of the said Act to be a port, namely:-- When goods liable to an export duty under the Second Schedule to the Customs Act, 1969(IV of 1969), or any other law for the time being in force, or goods the export of which out of Pakistan is subject to any restriction, are shipped in a coasting vessel at any customs port or at any place declared to be a port under section 9 of the said Act, the owner or master shall, if so required, give a bond with such security as the appropriate officer of customs deems sufficient for the payment at the port of destination declared in the export manifest, not exceeding twice the value of any portion of Ihe said article which is not shown to the satisfaction of the said officer and within a reasonable time to be prescribed in each case by him, to have been landed and accounted for at such port: Provided that in lieu of executing such bond on each occasion any agent of coasting vessel may, with the express or implied consent of the master and ihe approval of Ihe Collector of Customs, execute a continuing bond in the appended form to cover all such goods shipped in coasting vessel under his agency.
