Industrial Relations Ordinance (XXIII of 1969)--- ----S. 25-A---Appointment---Respondents, claiming higher grade as Traffic Assistant or Assistant Yard Master---Respondents had been appointed as conductors but they had been working in higher grade for years and later on they were asked by employer to work as Conductors---Respondents -claimed that by operation of Standing Orders Ordinance and other rules of service, they would be deemed to have been permanently appointed in higher grade and therefore their reappointment as Conductors would amount to reversion--­Labour Court while dealing with grievance petition ordered maintenance of status quo pending decision of grievance petition---Petitioner challenging order of Labour Court---Order of Labour Court appearing to be well-reasoned and there was no illegality in passing same by Labour Court ---Interference declined by Labour Appellate Tribunal. I have heard Mr. Azamtullah, Deputy Manager appearing for the applicants and Mr. Latif Saghar appearing for the respondents in all the applications. 3. The brief facts of the case appear to be that all the respondents were initially employed by the applicant as Conductors. They claim that since several years they have been working in higher grade as Traffic Assistants or Assistants Yard Masters.
