Industrial Relations Ordinance (XXIII of 1969)--- ----S. 25-A---Grievance petition---Maintainability---Services of employee were terminated due to his long absence from duty for about four years---Employee instead of sending grievance notice, started sending representation to employer Authority including Minister concerned, but he could not succeed---Employee sent his grievance notice to employer Authority some ten years after termination of his services---Grievance petition tiled by employee was rightly dismissed by Labour Court being hopelessly time-barred holding that representations sent by employee to Authorities concerned could not extend period of limitation for the grievance notice. DECISION This appeal arises from order of the 5th Sindh Labour Court, Karachi, dismissing the grievance petition of the appellant as time-barred. 2. The facts in brief are that the appellant was employed as a fitter in Pakistan Railways, Karac:ii City. He retained 30 days' leave for visiting his mother in Kohat in July, 1980. He eventually reported for duty on 6-4-1984 after nearly four years but he learnt that his services have been terminated so he started sending representations to Railway Authorities…
