Civil service--- ----Seniority---Employee after serving for about two years in Department in a particular branch, was transferred to another branch in same capacity---Transfer of employee was made on his own request in writing and it was clearly written in order of transfer that seniority would be assigned to employee from date he would join duty m branch where he had been transferred---Such order of transfer not only was passed by Authority at instance of employee: but employee also had accepted same voluntarily without making any grievance or protest---Order of transfer according to which seniority was assigned to employee from date of joining duty in branch where he was transferred, having been implemented in accordance with his own request, employee had got no right to turn back and say that his seniority should be determined from date of his original appointment in Department---Seniority of employee was rightly determined from date of his transfer. 1991 SCMR 1526 ref. HASAN NAWAZ (MEMBER): --While serving as Accounts Assistant in the Office of Manager Finance (Co-ordination), the appellant was transferred in the same capacity to the Office of Director Accounts, Area Electricity Board, Gujranwala, by order dated 2-3-1980 which, inter alia, provided that seniority will be assigned to him from the date he joined the Power Wing. 2. Provisional seniority list of Accounts Assistants including Divisional Accountants prepared up to 30-4-1982 was circulated by the competent Authority through letter dated 12-9-1982 where the appellant was placed against serial No. 198 with reference to his date of appointment which was 15-2-1978. Objections were invited within three months of the date of circulation of the list and it was laid down that the list will be considered as final in case no objections are filed. 3.
