Customs Act (IV of 1969)--Ss. 121 & 123--Allegation of importing goods in contravention of law--Goods transhipped to Lahore Dry Port--Contention of importer that in case Customs Department had information about contravention it should have been conveyed to the Port Authorities at Lahore and after that Customs Officer could examine question of alleged contravention and take action in accordance with law-­Department having failed to do so, High Court ordered that if consignment had Customs Officer, forwarded to Dry Port alongwith the report, if any. ORDER AJMAL MIAN, C J--The petitioners had imported certain consignments of rubber scrap. They want to clear the same at the Dry Port Lahore in terms of a public notice dated 12th June, 1988.
