Nature of case: Intra-Court Appeal (ICA) against dismissal of a contempt petition.

Facts

The appellant challenged the order dated 02.12.2024 passed by the learned Single Judge in Criminal Original No.217/2024. The appellant alleged that:

• he was not supplied the respondents’ comments, therefore he was condemned unheard;
• respondent No.1 supplied incomplete information to the Single Judge;
• the Single Judge failed to properly consider the documents attached with the contempt petition; and
• the impugned order was passed in a slipshod manner.

The alleged contempt concerned an earlier order dated 10.05.2024 passed in Writ Petition No.1499/2024.
