Case Summary The appellant challenged his conviction and life sentence under Section 376(3) PPC for committing sodomy/rape upon a 12–13-year-old boy. The Lahore High Court dismissed the appeal and upheld the conviction, holding that the prosecution had proved the charge beyond reasonable doubt through the victim's trustworthy testimony, corroborative circumstantial evidence, medical evidence, and conclusive DNA evidence. The Court further held that the absence of physical injuries in a child sexual assault case does not negate the occurrence of sexual abuse, particularly where forensic evidence establishes the offence. Tagline Victim's credible testimony supported by DNA evidence is sufficient for conviction in child sexual abuse cases; absence of anal injuries is not fatal to the prosecution.
