Law: Constitution of Pakistan, 1973
Section: 199,25,27
Summary
The petitioner sought a direction for issuance of an appointment letter as a Constable in Sindh Police, alleging discrimination despite having cleared physical and written tests. The record showed that the petitioner failed the interview, scoring 16 marks against the required 25 marks (50%) under the Sindh Police Recruitment Policy, 2016 (revised 2022).
The Court found no mala fide, discrimination, or violation of fundamental rights. It was further noted that the petitioner had earlier filed a similar petition which was withdrawn without liberty, and the present petition was filed after crossing the age limit. Consequently, no relief was available under constitutional jurisdiction and the petition was dismissed.
