✅ SUMMARY OF THE JUDGMENT
The Court heard two connected Special Criminal Anti-Terrorism Appeals (Nos. 24 & 25 of 2025) together.
The complainant alleged that the accused snatched a gold ring on 27-03-2022 and later on 30-03-2022 demanded extortion of Rs. 10,00,000 and forcibly took Rs. 1,00,000 at gunpoint. FIR was registered after intervention of the Justice of Peace.
During trial, PW-1 (complainant) and PW-2 (employee) gave contradictory statements about the incident, timing, presence of the complainant, and the alleged extortion demand. PW-1’s statement did not assign any direct role of extortion to Appellant Zahid Sharif except presence with a weapon.
