(a) Criminal Procedure Code (V of 1898)---
Ss. 435/439-Revision, disposal of-Revisional power of High Court-Does not create any right in any party but only conserves the power to see justice done according to recognised rules of criminal jurisprudence-High Court also not bound to interfere in every case of illegal or irregular order-Nevertheless, High Court, in case of entertaining an application for revision and hearing applicant, expected to notice contentions raised before: it, if relevant, and record its reasons for rejecting same-Order should at least disclose exercise of revisional, power having been declined on sound principles of law relating to dispensation of criminal justice and be sufficiently explicit to enable appellate Court to get same idea as to facts of case and to consider whether reasons of disposal of case sound and justifiable.
