Summary
Petitioner Abid Sohail challenged rejection of his nomination papers for election of the Managing Committee of Excise & Taxation Cooperative Housing Society, Lahore.
His papers were rejected by the Election Sub-Committee (25.08.2025), upheld in appeal (01.09.2025) and revision (12.09.2025), on the ground that he left Column “ج” (Jeem) (business/occupation) blank.
Court found that petitioner had crossed out the column, which was equivalent to writing “Not Applicable (NA)”.
