Summary of Judgment

The petition concerned Dr. Feroz Alam Jafri's challenge to the University of Karachi's Selection Board decisions, which repeatedly denied his appointment as Associate Professor and Professor in the Department of Food Science and Technology, while recommending other candidates. Dr. Jafri alleged procedural irregularities, violation of mandatory rules (notably, the requirement for consultation with three subject experts), bias and conflict of interest, and a lack of proper consideration of his objections throughout the selection process.
