Summary;
The petitioner challenged the order dated 12.06.2024 rejecting her application to cancel the effectiveness of a Talaq certificate issued by the Chairman of the Arbitration Council.
The petitioner and respondent belong to the Shia sect (Fiqah-e-Jafria), and their divorce must comply with Section 7(1) of the Muslim Family Laws Ordinance 1961, as amended by the 2021 Act.
