Summary
Petitioners Muhammad Yamin and Muhammad Ameer were charged with the abduction of a minor, Taha Rashid (aged 9), for ransom on 1 October 2013 in Sargodha. They were convicted by the Special Judge Anti-Terrorism Court, Sargodha, under:
Section 365-A/34 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC): Life imprisonment and a fine of Rs. 100,000 each, with further imprisonment in case of default.
Section 7(e) of the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA), 1997 read with Section 34 PPC: Life imprisonment with forfeiture of property.
