Law:

Section:

(a) Letters Patent (Lahore),cl. 8---"Reasonable cause" for action against Advocate-Guilty of contempt of foreign Court. It has never been doubted that a contempt of Court by a member of the legal profession is a "reasonable cause" for taking disciplinary proceedings against him, the reason being that any such conduct on the part of an Advocate reveals a mental defect which so long as it lasts, renders him unfit to remain a part of the system which -he seeks to damage by bringing it into contempt. The letter is accompanied by a copy of the judgment of Mr. Justice Rajadhyaksha and Mr. Justice Vyas, by which the Doctor was found guilty of contempt and sentenced to a fine of Rs. 1,000. The registrar has placed these papers before us for such action as this Court…
