We have assembled today to pay homage and respect to our\r\ndistinguished colleague on the Bench laic Justice Aslam Riaz Hussain and two\r\nSenior Advocates of the Supreme Court, namely, Ijaz Hussain Batalvi and Khalid\r\nM. Probably, this is one thing, which cannot\r\nbe denied by anyone, whosoever he may be, or wherever he may be. It has to come\r\nat a time and date appointed by Allah Almighty. As per our concept of death, it\r\nis perishing of body\u0026#8209;\u0026#8209;not the soul. The soul remains forever and\r\nenjoys eternal life. The death is a bridge between two lives, the mortal life\r\nand the eternal life. I knew him only through his judgments. He delivered\r\nremarkable judgments, which provide tangible guidelines to the Judges and to\r\nthe Advocates and are frequently referred in the cases we hear daily and this\r\nis a fact that these Judgments will be continued to be referred till the\r\npresent system works.\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp class=MsoNormal style=\u0027text-align:justify\u0027\u003e\u003co:p\u003e\u0026nbsp;\u003c/o:p\u003e\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp class=MsoNormal style=\u0027text-align:justify\u0027\u003eJustice Aslam Riaz Hussain had a\r\nvery successful career as a lawyer and as a Judge. His judgments speak\r\neloquently for his judicial experience, learning and grasp of law and facts. In\r\nthe judgments that followed the period of constitutional crisis in 1988, he\r\nstood by the unanimity of the Court in its several decisions to uphold, the\r\nConstitutional rights of the citizens, the rule of law and the democratic polity\r\nof the State as enshrined in the Constitution.
